Kristin Miller, DDS
Dr. Kristin Miller, is from Kansas City, Missouri, and received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University at New Orleans, Louisiana, in Business Management and Asian Studies in 2001. She went on to fulfill her ROTC scholarship by serving on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Army for four years. She eventually got around to her true calling of dentistry and attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Dentistry, graduating in 2011. After graduation, she started her career at the Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, working here until 2017.
The ability to serve and educate populations that lack adequate dental care is what initially piqued her interest in the dental profession. She is thrilled at the opportunity to focus this ability on children’s dental health at NC Pediatrics Dentistry. She believes good dental health begins at a very young age and wants to make the dental office a welcoming place their entire life. Dr. Miller participates in numerous dental outreach opportunities both in her local community and across North Carolina such as at NC Mission of Mercy clinics, the Sandy Ridge Baptist Dental Bus, and Veteran’s Standdowns, as well as the dental outreach events sponsored by NC Pediatrics Dentistry.
Dr. Miller is an active member of the American Dental Association. She is the North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS) Chair of the Committee on the New Dentist, serves on the NCDS Committee on Give Kids A Smile, and has held many officer positions within the First District Dental Society, to include President in 2017.
Gorgeous mountain conditions will find Dr. Miller enjoying all the outdoor activities North Carolina has to offer. She and her husband Matt, enjoy exploring the landscape with their toddler, Evelyn, in tow.
