Kelly Krekel, DDS
“They sure are handy when you smile. So keep your teeth around a while!” – Dr. Seuss
Dr. Kelly Krekel was born and raised on Long Island in Plainview, NY. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Binghamton University with her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She then attended Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery where she graduated with the honor of Cum Laude and induction into the OKU Honor Society. She went on to complete a 2-year residency also at Stony Brook University where she specialized in Pediatric Dentistry.
Her goal as a dentist is to guide children and parents on the journey to healthy smiles and healthy lifestyles and also by making their time at the dentist an enjoyable and positive experience.
“Open communication and safety are the most important aspects of our dental appointments,” says Krekel. “I strive to have open and honest communication with the patient and parent in order to achieve that special level of comfort and trust.”
Dr. Krekel has always been a beach-girl. When not in the office she loves soaking in the sun and relaxing with her toes in the sand. She also enjoys the city life, running outside, spin classes, visiting museums, going to concerts, and traveling! She loves to cook, which is often her “go-to” to unwind.
Dr. Krekel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She looks forward to serving her community and making your child’s visit to the dentist fun and positive!
