At NC Pediatric Dentistry, we offer in office General Anesthesia. This is a form of treatment where your child is in a controlled state of unconsciousness limiting movement or feeling of discomfort during a dental procedure. We use this method for children who have high anxiety, are extremely uncooperative, are anxious, or if there is a significant amount of treatment needed to be done in a single appointment. This method can also be used for patients with special needs to give them a more relaxed and comfortable setting.

General Anesthesia can come with some risks, but our team of Doctors and staff are highly trained to put each patient in a safe environment that is professionally equipped. We take the time to go over any of the risks prior to this type of procedure and answer any questions that you may have before agreeing to treatment. Your child will be monitored throughout the procedure and precautions will also be taken by our trained doctors and staff.

This is just one of the many services that our practices provide. Every child is different, which is why it is important to us to provide a service that fits everyone’s needs.
