Philip Jiamachello, DDS

Dr. Philip Jiamachello has specialized in pediatric dentistry for over 30 years. Dr. Jiamachello completed his undergraduate degree at Duke University graduating cum laude. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina-School of Dentistry.

He followed this with a residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston-Dental Branch where he also trained at Herman Hospital and M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute.

Dr. Jiamachello is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Society of Dentistry for Children, American Dental Association, Isothermal Dental Society (previous chairman) and the Gaston Dental Society. He has also been on the Board of Health for Cleveland County, Cleveland County Headstart. Dr. Jiamachello is an associate professor at UNC – School of Dentistry in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Jiamachello has practiced in Shelby since the completion of his residency. He and his wife Silvia have three children who were all born in North Carolina.

Dr. Jiamachello enjoys being with his family, hiking in the local parks, playing racquetball in town and away at tournaments and is also happy to celebrate the successes of his patients.
